JCVC’s club season lasts six months, running from December to May and consists of skill development and competitive team play. JCVC strives to offer three age divisions (both male and female), with 1 – 3 teams in each age division during the Club Season.
Club Divisions are the assigned age groups for the Club Season. The Saskatchewan Volleyball Association (SVA) and Volleyball Canada (VC) require that athletes be separated into their respective age brackets. Athletes must have been born within the calendar year of January 1 to December 31 to qualify for a given division.
Youth Division (14U/13U) – 14 & 13 years old
Intermediate Division (16U/15U) – 16 & 15 years old
Senior Division (18U/17U) – 18 & 17 years old
Players are selected through a competitive tryout format, and tryouts commence on the first day sanctioned by SaskVolleyball.
Age division fees are priced accordingly based on different competitive needs. Please refer to the relevant Age Division for the cost breakdown for each age category, per athlete.
All teams train 2 – 3 times a week and compete in the Saskatchewan Volleyball Association (SaskVolleyball) provincial club circuit. All teams will attend the provincial championships; the 16 – 18 age group is expected to attend the Volleyball Canada (VC) National Open.
Our experienced coaches encourage a positive learning environment for athletes and work to prepare athletes for opportunities to play at the post-secondary level. Each team is assigned 2 – 3 coaches to encourage thorough feedback.
The sport's developmental aspect is incorporated into practice and game situations. Each team will develop at a different rate, appropriate to their skill level. JCVC strives to develop teams to a competitive level for each age category as athletes mature into the sport.
